Back to the essence.

For the last few years, The Dream Support Network website and organization became a "What is DC#1 doing?" space and we lost what we were really trying to do.  When we started the Dream Support Network, our goal was to help and support individuals who were chasing their dreams.  We would do this through our workshops, through dream consultations, by going to other Dream Chaser's events, purchasing their products and promoting what they were doing.  We had built an organization and had developed friendships with some real movers and shakers in the Tri-state. 

Somewhere along the way, we got lost.  We loss our connections.  We stopped providing support.  We started doing all types of stuff, still associated with dreams but we lacked the support.  Dream Support is important.  It wasn't until last week when someone emailed me about what the Dream Support Network does that I looked at the site and became concerned.  The individual had come to our site and still couldn't figure us out.  She stated, "I thought it was great but could you explain what you do?"  I had to think about it.  I went to the site and I looked at all the videos, cartoons, post and other information that had nothing to do with The Dream Support Network.  For a second, I thought about shutting the whole thing down but then, I remembered...I'm Dream Chaser #1.  Being Dream Chaser #1 holds significance in this organization.  At one point, there were over 300 individuals with Dream Chaser numbers.  The only way to get a number was to go through The Dream Chasers Workshop.  One day, I let it all slip away.

I remember why.  I felt like I wasn't getting enough people to come to the workshop.  I felt like I wasn't getting enough likes on my post.  I felt like the network wasn't growing at the pace of other organizations.  I was in my feelings, so I changed my focus to Ice Cream for a Dream because Ice Cream for a Dream was easy.  Ice Cream for a Dream gave me instant gratification.  Everybody loves ice cream and they will tell you anything to get for free.
