Since December 2015, Dreams Empower, Inc. with sponsorship from the BSL Educational Foundation has conducted a monthly Dream Chasers Workshop , Dream Chaser Speaker Series and Dream Consultations. Each month, we met with 20 students making a final total of 120 students served. Special thanks goes to Erin Grant and the rest of the East Hartford High team for the internal support and Kevin Booker, Avery Gaddis, Elbert Gray, Sasha Allen, Dayeshell Muhammad and Anthony Griffin for sharing you success tips with the students. We look forward to returning next year for a bigger and better program. We wrapped up the program with Ice Cream for a Dream.
We are a dream chasing family. My wife decided a couple years ago to continue her education and was accepted in the Women Studies Program at Southern. To make a long story short. Listen to Simone, she has a dream! We CAN do this! Chase your dreams! Another day, another dream. I enjoy going to Martin Luther King School and supporting them. Dr. King had a dream and these students do too. Never Stop Dreaming!
Although it was a rainy day, we still heard some amazing dreams had some engaging conversations and of course gave away free ice cream. The Kidney Walk supports a great cause, The National Kidney Foundation and their goal to inform individuals about ways to prevent, get check and eradicate kidney disease. We will be at to other Kidney Walk on May 15th at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, CT and on June 5th at Town Center in Hamden, CT. You should come out! Support at kidney.org/donate. We are Team Dream. For those who don't know, this year on August 8, 2016, Dream Chaser #1 will be celebrating 15 years of a healthy life due to a gift of love from his sister Ayesha. In 2001, Ayesha donated one of her kidney's to him and he has been dream chasing ever since. DC1 giving the quick version of how Ice Cream for a Dream started. |
