The Dream Support Network is about to BLOW UP! I just thought I would let the Dream Chasers know first. Between Ice Cream for a Dream, The Dream Chasers Workshop, our t-shirt line, a few books we have in the works, Dream Class and future collaborations we have planned, the wick has been lit. Can't you hear it sizzling? This is a warning so when you hear the BOOM you can just say he told us so. Now might be the time for you to set up a Dream Consultation with Dream Chaser #1 to talk about your dreams because soon (real soon), you are going to look up and he will be gone. The world is calling. Either way, keep chasing your dreams and turning them into reality. We will be because we are POWERED by DREAMS. Until next time. NEVER STOP DREAMING!
This summer, The Dream Support Network will be collaborating with Achievement First on 10 community events to help them get the word out about their school and available slots open for Hartford Youth. For more information about Achievement First, visit their website at: http://www.achievementfirst.org/. Another day to encourage and inspire young people to chase their dreams. My friend Tracy asked me to come the Northwest Boys and Girls Club to do Ice Cream for a Dream and I had a ball! Check out some video and pics from the day. By the way, Saturday we will be at Colt Park at 1pm. Never Stop Dreaming! After two years with our current logo, we have decided to create a new logo more in line with what we are doing right now. Most of the time when we do Ice Cream for a Dream these days, we give out ice cream sandwiches, so we thought this change would be good. Check out our new logo and let us know what you think.
Never Stop Dreaming! Today, The Ice Cream for a Dream Tour stopped over at Martin Luther King Elementary in Hartford, CT. What I liked most was that my wife joined me. Secondly, I was able to give a couple speeches about dreams to the kids before handing out the ice cream. We met first with the Pre-K through 3rd Grade and then the 4th through 8th. Check out the video I spliced together to hear a few parts of my message that I liked. We will be at the Kidney Walk in Norwalk, CT on Saturday at 9:00am if you are interested in joining us. In the mean time, Never Stop Dreaming! Yesterday, was quite possibly one of the best Ice Cream for a Dreams we have ever done to date as it pertains to media and exposure. The principal was on his game with a sign outside the school, the students wrote essays about their dreams...ESSAYS! The mayor was there, lawyers from Earl B. Gilliam were there, the newspaper was there and we even made the local news. WOW! We are going places and now, Ice Cream for a Dream is bi costal! I have to give a major shout out to Lance Growth for pulling everything together and making the day a extreme success! Never Stop Dreaming indeed!
I was incredibly busy today helping young people understand the power of having dreams. I started my day off at Vinal Tech in Middletown, CT doing back to back Ice Cream for a Dream Workshops with two freshman classes. I liked the second on the best. Thing is, we didn't give out any ice cream at the end but I will be back in couple weeks for that part...I gave them a homework assignment. Right after I wrapped things up at Vinal, I had to do Ice Cream for a Dream for 400 students at Milner Elementary in Hartford so I jumped on the ice cream truck filled it up and got there right on time. Below are a few of the top dreams from the day. I wasn't able to tape much, I left my cell phone in the window and it got too hot. Tomorrow, I'm back at Vinal for two more workshops. Shout Out to Alonzo Little for bringing me in. Never Stop Dreaming!
