Today, Dream Chaser #1 with the help of the great Shonnita Leslie conducted The Dream Board Activity at McDonough with two groups of 20 young people. The kids were engaged and excited to create a vision of what their future can be. Check out a few pictures today, we should have video by tomorrow or the next day. Never Stop Dreaming! I was a little off my game yesterday so I didn't take any pictures or selfies like i usually do (I actually missed a video of a kid pop locking because being a dancer is his dream). Fortunately, through the power of social media, Brandon Frame the Institute organizer took this pick below for our archives. I decided to even leave on the instagram (follow us on instagram @dreamchaserone and follow Brandon Frame too @brandonframe) message he added because it is good! By the way, things are really picking up in the next few weeks. As the spring breaks there will be more request and more dates. 2015 is going to be a powerful year for the Dream Support Network. Today, I had a truly enjoyable day! I started my day off with a keynote speech to a group of students from East Hartford High School at the Work Based Learning/ Focus on the Future Conference. I was feeling so good after the keynote, I returned for lunch and dd Ice Cream for a Dream. I ended my night with the Kick-off for the Kidney Walk at Wickham Park in E. Hartford on April 26th and Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk on May 16th. It was good to see Deb and meet Rob and Karen tonight. I am looking forward to doing Ice Cream for a Dream at the Kidney Walk and helping them to raise money. This event is important to me due to my struggle with kidney failure prior to my sister giving me her kidney and the bout my father had with kidney failure a few years ago. Ice Cream for a Dream-4/9/15-Achievement First Ice Cream for a Dream-5/7/15-Core Knowledge Academy @ Milner Book Dream Chaser #1 at your next community, school or organizational event! Never Stop Dreaming! The young men and women from the Knox Foundation Green Crew were excellent participants in the Dream Chasers Workshop today. They showed great insight and provided wonderful feedback. The session was so good and filled with discussion it took two hours to complete the first session which usually takes an hour. I look forward to seeing the dreams the Green Crew catches in the future. At some point this summer we plan to reconnect to do Ice Cream for a Dream. Never Stop Dreaming, Green Crew!   |
