It's that time again! Class is in session. Every Wednesday, check in for Dream Chasing 101 our class to encourage you to live the life of your dreams. Enough reading, get your pen and pad and watch the video below. Never Stop Dreaming! I know you are afraid to fail. What if I tell you that the failures you have today will put you in position to be successful in the future. Fail today and learn something. Mess up and perfect your skill. Get better everyday. You have to have a starting point. Failures make good stories in the future. Often time, other people can relate to your failures more than they can relate to your success. Everyone has failed. Not everyone is willing to continue to fail until they succeed. First, you fail and it hurts. Failure breaks you down and challenges your faith. Failure makes you question whether or not your task is worth your time. Then, you breakthrough. Your breakthrough is directly associated with what you learned through failing. Your ability to keep going positioned you for your breakthrough. Next, you get into your flow and your goal or dream is easy for you. Then, there is innovation and maybe a few failures but now you know that you just have to stick in there. Failing is just preparation for success. Fail at something you love that makes it all worth it.
Never Stop Dreaming! This has been a busy day! We usually don't do two Ice Cream for a Dreams in one day until the summer but today, we did that. We heard over 100 dreams today between Springfield Public Day High School and Hartford Middle Magnet. The dreams are getting more insightful and the kids and adults are really starting to get the concept "Never Stop Dreaming". Check out some of the selfies from today below:
Never Stop Dreaming! TODAY. Many of the individuals who will read this post have probably never thought about TODAY the way I am going to explain it. Keep in mind, I'm not just talking about today, I'm talking about every day. TODAY, I will do something that will impact the rest of 2015 and if I'm good, 2016 and 2017 too.
TODAY, I will make a connection that will turn in to a friendship filled with respect, honesty and future good times. TODAY, I will say something that sticks in someone's mind and six months or a year from now they will be in the position to use my skills. TODAY, I am one step closer to living the life of my dreams full time. TODAY, I will do something that will impact my children and my children's children. TODAY, I will laugh about something that happened years ago, I will cry for someone I love and I will rehash an idea that I put on the shelf for a while; therefore proving the power of one day in your life (get it?). TODAY, I will be positive, I will be energized, I will be strong. TODAY, I will work out again. Adding another day of working out and extending my life for at least one day. TODAY, I will visualize the future I desire, I will write down my vision and take one small step towards my visualization. TODAY, will be GREAT because I told it to be. What are you going to do TODAY? Be POWERED by Dreams. Never Stop Dreaming! Yesterday, we heard some of the most insightful, selfless and loving dreams ever at Ice Cream for a Dream at the Wadsworth Atheneum for their Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. Not to mention, we gave out over 500 hundred ice creams! We are really looking forward to this year of Dream Support Network activities. Later this week we will be at Springfield Day School and Hartford Middle Magnet for Ice Cream for a Dream as well. Stay up to date on our events by checking out our Upcoming Events page and Contact Us if you are interested in Booking Dream Chaser #1 for your next event. This is going to be a BREAKTHROUGH year!
Never Stop Dreaming! Today, we officially began the 2015 season of The Dream Support Network! (Yaaaa!) We were at Hartford Job Corps and we started off with a motivational speech and a little spoken word, next we showed our documentary Powered by Dreams and wrapped up our part with an activity called "Steps to your dream". The all day workshop was taken to another level with the support of Brandon Frame who did a presentation on "Dressing for Success", AJ Johnson who presented on letting your "Setback prepare you for your comeback", State Representative Brandon McGee stopped in to talk about "Doing something BIG", Tremaine France took us up a notch on his presentation "New Year, New You" and Alonzo Beckett wrapped up the day with a video production presentation.
The whole day was filled with energy, excitement, brotherhood, motivation, inspiration and dreams. Next up, we will be at the Wadsworth on Monday for Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Looking forward to hearing hundreds of dreams. Never Stop Dreaming! First class of 2015, take a few minutes and watch. Get your pad out, decide you are going to chase your dreams this year. Share this with all your Dream Chaser friends! Dream. Do! Never Stop Dreaming! Did you see that? I'll show you again. It's the beginning of a POWERFUL week! Do you know what I just did? I made the next seven days POWERFUL. Just by the words I wrote, I have put in to motion the opportunity for this week to be POWERFUL. So, later in this week when I get a POWERFUL call or am asked to do something I've been wanting to do I will know that I spoke it and wrote it into existence. Everyday, we have a choice. We can either be complainers or changers. We can either be down and depressed or up and positive. We get to decide. We get to choose. This week, I choose to have a POWERFUL week and today is the beginning of it. What kind of week are you going to have? I wish POWERFUL for you too.
